Allied Health and Nursing Education Outreach Program for Victoria

Does your team need paediatric education?

Do you want it delivered close to home?

The Allied Health and Nursing Education Outreach Program is a new and unique program offering the opportunity to receive tailored education and training, based on your teams’ identified learning and professional development needs. Education can be delivered at your workplace or alternatively at a centralised location.

This new initiative complements the established programs available at The Royal Children’s Hospital.

Program objectives

The program will embed adult learning principles and use blended learning approaches thereby delivering innovative and engaging education to develop participants’ skills and knowledge in paediatric healthcare. Our program aims to:

• Develop an understanding of the pathophysiology and improve proficiency in the assessment and management of common medical, surgical, developmental and acquired conditions affecting infants, children and adolescents.

• Offer interprofessional education for multidisciplinary teams that facilitate the development of communication, interpersonal, professional and leadership skills.

Target audience

We welcome enquiries from all registered and enrolled nursing teams and allied health therapy professionals in Victoria.
